Madison “Peach” Steiner is the founder/president of Peach’s Neet Feet. Madison’s mission is to create a movement of pay it forward initiatives and selfless acts of giving. She uses art to create custom, hand painted shoes to celebrate children who are fighting cancer and living with disabilities. Through her endeavors, she has learned that these are more than just a pair of shoes but that the shoes help create awareness for these children, each brush stroke filled with inspiration and hope. The shoes allow a child to be recognized for who they are beyond their diagnosis or disability and are a gateway, connecting people from all over the world. Madison was doing more than just painting shoes she was creating a diverse community built on kindness.
Madison dropped out of High School at the age of 16, attending college classes not long after, graduating with a degree in Human Services/Social Work studies. Inspired by her passion for art and her determination to change the world with kindness, Peach’s Neet Feet started in Madison’s bedroom with a set of paints and a pair of shoes.
Starting out as the only artist, Peach’s Neet Feet now has numerous artists, including Madison’s brother Corey, who donate their time to help paint the shoes. More than 50 pairs of shoes are donated to children each month, working with several Children’s hospitals across the United States. Peach’s Neet Feet is supported by larger companies, such as Vans and DecoArt, receiving shoe and paint donations when needed. The organization has created art based outreach parties to assist in bringing the children and families in one community together and is a platform for supporters to be involved and pay it forward.
Peach’s Neet Feet was chosen as the winner of the 2012 Random Acts of Kindness Foundation’s Extreme Kindness Challenge in 2012. This awarded Peach’s Neet Feet the opportunity to work with Story Teller’s for Good to create a story video, showing how a small pair of shoes can make such a large impact. This video was featured on Karma Tube website along with an article in the Huffington Post Impact. Madison received the Good Samaritan Real Heroes Award for 2012 for Northwest New Mexico in the month of May. She was a guest speaker at the Chopra Foundation Sages and Scientists Symposium 2013. Peach's Neet Feet was the recipient of the Sheckler Foundaton "Be The Change" award in May 2014. Over the last three years, Madison and Peach’s Neet Feet has been featured in several newspapers, Internet blogs and websites including the website WOMEN YOU SHOULD KNOW, an editorial site and community all about dynamic women.
